TERMS OF SERVICE

Griswold's Lights of Greenville Effective date: August 19th, 2026

1. Who we are

These Terms govern your use of keiko@griswoldslightsgvl.com and the holiday lighting services provided by Griswold's Lights of Greenville, 19 Riverview Drive, Greenville, SC 29611.

By requesting an estimate, booking a service, or opting in to receive messages from us, you agree to these Terms.

2. Our services

We provide holiday lighting design, installation, in-season maintenance, takedown, and off-season storage for residential and commercial properties in the Greenville, South Carolina area.

Estimates are provided remotely from photos you submit, or on site. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

3. Booking, deposits, and scheduling

A 50% deposit is required to reserve your installation date.

Your date is not held until the deposit is received.

The balance is due upon completion of installation.

Installation dates are scheduled by route and are subject to weather. We will contact you if weather requires rescheduling.

Peak dates, particularly Thanksgiving week, book early and are assigned first-come, first-served.

4. Cancellations and refunds

Cancel more than 14 days before your scheduled install date and your deposit is refundable, less any custom materials already purchased for your job.

Cancel within 14 days and the deposit is non-refundable, as your slot can no longer be resold.

If we cancel for any reason other than weather-related rescheduling, your deposit is refunded in full.

5. Materials and warranty

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, we provide commercial-grade lights and materials, which remain our property and are removed at takedown.

We warrant our installation and materials for the duration of the season. If a bulb, cord, or timer fails, contact us and we will service it at no charge.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by third parties, animals, vandalism, storms, or customer alteration of the installation.

6. Property access and condition

You agree to provide safe access to your property on the scheduled date, including access to exterior power outlets. You are responsible for disclosing known hazards. We carry liability insurance and our crews are insured, but we are not responsible for pre-existing defects in roofing, gutters, siding, or electrical systems.

7. Text messaging terms

By providing your phone number and opting in, you consent to receive text messages from Griswold's Lights of Greenville at that number.

Message types: appointment confirmations, estimate delivery, service updates, review requests, and — only if you separately opt in to marketing — seasonal promotions.

Message frequency varies.

Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard rates apply to messages you send and receive.

To opt out, reply STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation message and no further messages.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from us.

Your information is handled per our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share your mobile number with third parties for marketing purposes.

8. Payment

We accept the payment methods shown at the time of booking. Balances unpaid more than 30 days after completion may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month.

9. Photography

We may photograph completed installations for our portfolio, website, and social media. Photos show the exterior of the property only and are not captioned with your name or street address. Tell us in writing if you prefer we not photograph your home and we will honor that.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by South Carolina law, our total liability arising out of your use of our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Greenville County, South Carolina.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent version.
