Griswold's Lights of Greenville ("we," "us," "our") provides residential and commercial holiday lighting design, installation, maintenance, takedown, and storage services in the Greenville, South Carolina area.

We collect information you give us directly when you request an estimate, book a service, contact us, or respond to one of our messages:

Phone number
Email address
Property address and property details relevant to your lighting estimate
Photos of your property that you submit for remote estimating
Service history, quote amounts, and payment records
Messages and feedback you send us
We also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit our website, such as pages viewed and general location, through standard web analytics.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
Prepare and deliver your lighting estimate
Schedule, perform, and follow up on your installation, maintenance, and takedown
Send you appointment confirmations, service updates, and account notices
Respond to your questions and requests
Send you marketing about our services, if you have consented to receive it
Request feedback or a review after your service is complete
Keep records required for tax, insurance, and business purposes
Text messaging and your consent
If you provide your phone number and consent, we may send you text messages about your estimate, your appointment, your service, and — separately, and only if you have opted in to marketing — promotions and seasonal offers.
We collect SMS consent through:
Checkboxes on our website and landing page forms, which are never pre-checked
Your written or verbal request to receive text updates about your job
Your existing customer relationship with us, for service-related messages about work you have booked
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply HELP for assistance.
We do not sell or share your information
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Mobile information — including your phone number and SMS consent — will not be shared with or sold to any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors for the limited purpose of delivering messaging is excluded from this restriction; those service providers are prohibited from using your information for any other purpose.
We may share your information only with:
Service providers who help us operate our business (our CRM and messaging platform, payment processor, scheduling tools, accounting software) — each bound to use it only to provide services to us
Our installation crews and subcontractors, limited to what they need to perform your job
Legal authorities, when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, property, or safety
How long we keep your information
We keep customer records for as long as you remain a customer and afterward as needed for warranty claims, tax records, and legal obligations — typically seven years. You may request earlier deletion, subject to those obligations.
Your choices
Opt out of texts: Reply STOP to any message.
Opt out of email: Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email.
Access, correct, or delete your information: Email us at keiko@griswoldslightsgvl.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about a job you have already booked.
Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
